Product Detail screen

The Product Detail screen displays a variety of in-depth technical and price information. You can display this information anytime you see the details hyperlink.

Field Explanation
Picture of product A picture of the product will be displayed, if one exists.
Tech Data part number The part number used by Tech Data in plain bright-blue type is a hyperlink to the Product Detail screen.
Manufacturer name The name of the manufacturer in green type.
Short Description The manufacturer's brief description of the product.
Quantity box Accepts the number of units of the product that you want to add to the Shopping Cart.
Shopping Cart Icon The shopping cart icon adds the indicated number of units of the product to the Shopping Cart.
Favorites
Icon		 The Favorites icon allows you to add an item to your favorites folder.
Availability & Promotions The combined quantity on-hand in all Tech Data warehouses at the close of the previous day's business. The number is a bold red hyperlink to real-time inventory information for each warehouse. If the word "Inquire" appears in this column (even though it is a hyperlink), please call your sales representative for the real-time information.
  Show the sales promotion underway for this product. If this icon appears, the price listed is the lowest possible price under the terms of the promotion.

Price Your customer-specific price (your cost from Tech Data) in bold green type.
Mfr. Part# The part number used by the manufacturer in bold dark-blue type.
UPC code The UPC (Universal Product Code) for the product in plain black type.
MSRP The manufacturer's suggested retail price.
Inventory status One of six inventory status codes assigned by Tech Data displayed in bright red type within parenthesis().
Full Description The manufacturer's detailed description of the product.

The Product Detail screen displays a series of buttons above the detailed information. You can view a variety of additional details of the product by clicking any of these buttons.

Button Explanation
Product Profile Will display the default screen described above that also appears when you click the details hyperlink from elsewhere on the site.
Specifications Will display a screen in a table format describing the physical characteristics of the product such as dimensions, color, technology, etc.
Extended Specifications Will display additional physical characterstics of the product, if any exists.
Literature Will display a hyperlink to the manufacturer's data sheet, as well as warranty information, if any exists.
Accessories Will display a list of accessories that you can purchase to complement the original product.
Similar Products Will display a product results page of like items to the original product.
Vendor
Cross-Sell		 Will display a product results page of other items offered by the manufacturer of the original product.
