Green Initiatives

Tech Data routinely provides opportunities for employees to GO GREEN by recognizing the need for recycling and proactive reduction in everyday consumption and usage.

We work with local organizations to provide recycling days for electronics. We changed our logistics business drastically to utilize small envelopes for pick and pack products versus boxes, and we went to brown paper packing. We provided complimentary coffee mugs for all employees. We send printing tips and toner reminder communications to our employees and customers throughout the year to go green.

Our logo may be blue, but we are green every chance we get!

• Café and atrium energy-efficient lighting installed
• High-efficiency coolers utilized for facility air conditioning
• Promoting alternative transportation with a web page dedicated to reference information for bike riding, ride sharing and/or public transportation
• Sourcing local food products through our food service provider and using recycled paper containers versus styrofoam
