Training
EMC Velocity Affiliate Enablement Center
Once you're signed up the next step is to get "authorized" by completing the Velocity Affiliate Enablement Center (VAEC) training and certification. The VAEC is a web based resource that provides you with in-depth instruction on EMC offerings, product information to help prepare for sales calls, and QuickStart Services training to enable delivery on standard installation, implementation, and support services.
The one-stop shop for Partner development and productivity
The VAEC offers online development (eLearning), productivity tools and services enablement through a single interface. Designed for Sales, Presales (SE) and Services resources, it provides in-depth development for EMC offerings, product information to help prepare for sales calls, and QuickStart Services training to enable delivery on standard installation, implementation and support services.
The Call Preparation Section
Once you have completed the eLearning development program, utilize the Preparing for a Customer Call section to get your sales campaign started. This online tool will help you access the right documentation in a way aligned to how you will conduct your sales call with the customer. In addition, elevate your sales campaign by referring to the video messaging section to learn about the latest EMC messaging and strategies specific to this market space.
QuickStart Services Implement and Support
After successfully completing sales or presales training, you can elect to deliver standard installation, implementation and support services with the QuickStart Services Implement and Support designations. The free, self-paced QuickStart training ensures you are ready to provide quality, entry-level services and realize incremental revenue opportunity on EMC products that address high growth markets.

What is the time investment for the eLearning Development?
Your time investment depends on your role. For Sales students, expect to invest roughly 3 hours to complete the development. SE students can expect roughly a four hour investment. To get started with QuickStart Services training, students should allot approximately six hours.
How do I get started with QuickStart Services?
Upon successful completion of sales and presales training, one person on behalf of your partner company may apply for the QuickStart Services Implement and Support designations via an online application within the Velocity Affiliate Enablement Center.
EMC Powerlink
The Velocity Affiliate Enablement Center (VAEC) is housed on EMC's partner portal called "Powerlink". Accessing Powerlink requires EMC provided credentials which can be obtained by accessing http://powerlink.emc.com and completing the self registration process as follows:
Under New Member Registration Section:
Select appropriate country
Select Appropriate Language
Click the Registration Button to start process
Provide the appropriate business and contact information:
Click on Partner - Professional Services.
Input first and last name (required)
Enter your email address as provided to you by your company.
Please note your email address MUST NOT be one of the following:
-An EMC email address
-A personal email address
-A customer's email address
-Click the Next button.
This will complete the first phase of the registration process. You will receive a registration message emailed to the entered email address with additional instructions to complete the registration process.
Once your request is reviewed and approved by EMC you will receive an email indicating that your Powerlink account has been activated. Upon completion of the Powerlink registration process you will receive the appropriate login credentials for EMC Powerlink and ultimately be able to access the Velocity Affiliate Enablement Center.
