SERVICE ORDERING PROCESS

Orders for ExtremeWorks services require the following information to be provided on the order:

Reseller Information:

End-user Information:

  • Reseller Company Name

  • Reseller Address, City, State, ZIP

  • Reseller Contact Name

  • Reseller Contact Phone

  • Reseller Contact e-Mail Address

  • End-User Company Name

  • End-User Address, City, State, ZIP

  • End-User Contact Name

  • End-User Contact Phone

  • End-User Contact e-Mail Address

Serial Numbers:

Serial numbers are required on every service order except for software subscriptions. Additionally, chassis service requires including all component serial numbers including power supplies, management modules, ethernet modules. Please contact SE at x73118 for assistance.

Serial number shortcuts:

  1. Product was purchased from Tech Data?  Include the hardware order number on the service order.

  2. Service renewal? Include the previous agreement number.

  3. Switch is in service? Enduser can obtain a list by issuing a "SHOW VERSION" command on the switch. 

Service Process

Note:  Service orders typically take 5 to 7 business days for process from the time that all holds are released.  Please contact SE at x73118 (or e-mail seextnet@techdata.com) for all expedited order requests.

  1. Reseller places order with Tech Data. 

  2. All holds must be released (credit, drop ship, price deviations, etc)

  3. Purchasing Manager sends order to SE to process.

  4. SE pulls information from order.

  • Information complete? Order is sent to Purchasing Manager

  • Information not complete? SE sends e-mail to reseller contact and Tech Data sales associate with a list of the missing items.

  1. SE sends order to Purchasing Manager who sends PO to Extreme Networks.

  2. Extreme Networks order management enters order and assigns a sales order number. Once this step is complete, end-user can obtain service from Extreme by using the Tech Data PO number. 

  3. Once sales order has been entered at Extreme Networks, their service order management team processes the order and sends out a Contract Notification to the Reseller and Tech Data. They also send the end-user Welcome Kit at this time.

  4. When Tech Data receives the Contract Notification, SE sends the reseller their PO number, the Tech Data Sales Order number and the contract start/end dates.
