Spring is here. Out with Old, in with the New.
INTRODUCING A NEW STREAMLINED REBILLING PROCESS!
We are pleased to introduce a more efficient and restructured process for rebills where the net invoice amount changes (quantity/price). This change will improve the level of service we are able to provide to our valued customers by reducing confusion, streamlining reconciliation, and bringing Tech Data in-line with existing industry standards and processes.
OLD* Rebill Process:
The customer receives an original invoice, a credit memo to wash the original invoice and then a new "rebilled" invoice.
Example: A customer purchases one item and is invoiced $100. However, the customer was charged the incorrect price as the item was actually $90. The customer would have then received a credit memo for the complete $100 and a then receive a "rebilled" invoice for $90.
NEW Rebill Process (only when the customer's net invoice amount changes):
The customer receives an original invoice and then a "net difference" credit/debit memo.
Example: A customer purchases one item and is invoiced for $100. However, the customer was charged the incorrect price as the item was actually $90. The customer receives a credit memo for the net difference of $10. There will no longer be a "rebilled" invoice.
We are sure you will find this process much easier in terms of payment and reconciliation. For more information, contact your credit analyst or visit www.techdata.ca.
