Highly Secure Platform for Centralized Console Management

The CS3200 is a high performance Console Server that delivers centralized management of serial command console ports through direct network access, multiple terminals, and via modem. The CS3200 is network and/or text terminal configurable to 32 devices and to 17 users (including optional modem card). To add to its scalability attached systems can be a variety of computers, UNIX servers, LAN/WAN components and management systems.

Optimize System Administration and Network Resources

Operational efforts can be reduced with remote dial-up and telnet access and management. This feature allows administrators to remotely access servers as if they were physically on site. In addition, the CS3200 offers functionality that terminal servers simply cannot provide, such as a 64k per port Audit Trail and a word-string ID (free flash upgrade). These become valuable tools for troubleshooting mission critical servers in the event of systems problems. When equipment malfunctions, the Audit Trail and word-string ID allow for problem identification and diagnostics, ultimately reducing downtime.

Securely Manage Network Data Centers and Server Farms

The CS3200 provides superior capabilities for security and control, featuring login ID/Password protection from unauthorized access. Once a user passes through these safeguards, they will then have total command console access and interaction to authorized servers. Only the CS3200 delivers a host of advanced features with breakthrough price/performance levels.

Add Remote Power Cycling for a Total Solution

Connect the Power Manager port of the CS3200 to our PCU-8 Power Control Unit and enjoy complete control of serial devices from anywhere in the world! Ideal for remote, unmanned sites, the PCU-8 provides power cycling control for eight devices and can be cascaded to control up to 72 devices.

Ideal for Remote Unmanned Sites

The PCU-8 uses solid state zero-crossing relays for silent switching of attached devices, friendly to manned environments. The zero crossing relays ensure that expensive equipment is not harmed by power spikes which can occur by merely "throwing a switch" or closing a relay. Programmed time delays for a progressive startup of controlled devices allows a smooth recovery. Power Failure Recovery ensures that no one has to be there to start up the network if a power failure occurs.

Fault Tolerant, No Single Point of Failure

The CS3200, in normal operation, is a "listening" device that accepts console messages and places them in a FIFO buffer. The user must put the system in "Direct Mode" to communicate with a server. Inadvertent and unintentional communication with the server does not take place. The system architecture features isolation between the terminal and the server as well, eliminating the terminal as a point of failure.

When you need to remotely monitor and manage your network and telecom equipment, look to Lantronix for a complete Console Management Solution - connecting you with your information.
