New Console Management Solution

The ConsoleServer 800 (CS800) is a high-performance alternative to expensive terminal servers, delivering centralized management of serial command console ports through direct network access, a local terminal, or a modem connection. The CS800 allows up to six simultaneously connected users to access eight devices; the attached devices may be a variety of workstations, Unix and Linux servers, LAN/WAN components, or management systems.

Optimize System Administration and Network Resources

Operational efforts can be reduced with the CS800's remote dial-up and telnet access and management. Administrators may access servers as if they were physically on site with the servers and devices. Additionally, the 64K FIFO buffer gives administrators an audit trail to assist in troubleshooting problems with mission-critical servers. When administrators can access the original panic messages, the problem is easier to fix, and downtime is substantially reduced.

Securely Manage Network Data Centers and Servers

The CS800's small size and remote access features make it ideal for remotely located servers and network devices. Access is provided only to those that are authenticated through the CS800's internal user database. Each user's database entry also specifies access rights, so users may only access those devices for which they have authorization.

Ideal for Remote Unmanned Sites

The PCU-8 uses solid state zero-crossing relays for silent switching of attached devices, friendly to manned environments. The zero crossing relays ensure that expensive equipment is not harmed by power spikes which can occur by merely "throwing a switch" or closing a relay. Programmed time delays for a progressive startup of controlled devices allows a smooth recovery. Power Failure Recovery ensures that no one has to be there to start up the network if a power failure occurs.
