Shipping Notification E-mail

If you provide your e-mail address when submitting your order, you will receive an e-mail from Tech Data when your order has been received and again when it has been shipped. If your order is being shipped from more than one warehouse, you will receive a separate e-mail from each warehouse.

The Shipping Notification E-mail is divided into three sections: general information about the entire order, a listing of all containers and their contents, and summary financial information.

General information

Customer # Your Tech Data customer number
Customer Name Your company's name
Order # The order number assigned by Tech Data
Invoice # The invoice number assigned by Tech Data

PO #		 Your company's purchase order number
End User
PO #		 Your customer's purchase order number (if you supplied one)
Terms Your credit terms for this order
Blind Packaging Indicates whether the containers bear your shipping label (Y) or Tech Data's shipping label (N)
Total Containers The total number of containers that have been shipped
Ship To The destination to which all containers have been shipped
Ship Date The date on which all containers were shipped
Ship Via The carrier by which all containers were shipped
Warehouse The Tech Data warehouse from which the listed items were shipped
Ship Complete Indicates whether the shipment includes all items on your order (Y), or that it might lack backordered items (N)

Containers
Column Explanation
Container ID A unique number that identifies each container and introduces a list of its contents
Manufacturer/
Description 		The name of the product manufacturer and a brief description of the product
TD Part # The part number used by Tech Data
Mfr Part # The part number used by the manufacturer
Qty Shpd The number of units of the product that has been shipped
Unit $ Your cost for each unit shipped
Ext$ Extended cost - your cost for all units of each product shipped (Unit $ times Qty Shpd)

Financial information
Line Explanation
Subtotal The sum of all figures in the Ext $ column
Freight Normal freight charges
Freight Discount Discount from the normal freight charge (if applicable)
Handling Handling charges for small orders.
Tax Applicable taxes (e.g. Canadian VAT)
NET AMOUNT Total amount due for this shipment
