Configuration Notes
The Matrix C-Series is ideal for wiring closet, small backbone,
server aggregation, and desktop applications that require sophisticated
features, wire-speed performance, and affordability.
The Matrix C2 has six stackable family members supporting high
density 10/100 and 10/100/1000 Layer 2 switching and Layer 3 routing. Up
to 384 end-user ports with up to 32 gigabit uplinks can be supported in
a single stack. Static and dynamic policy is fully supported on all
switches making the Matrix C2 an ideal solution for edge aggregation in
a Secure Network.
The Matrix C2 can be the first line of defense in any comprehensive
networking security solution provided by Enterasys. All Matrix C2
switches support User Access Authentication via IEEE 802.1x, MAC
address, web authentication, access control lists, VLANs and RADIUS
authentication. Each member of this switch family fully supports rate
limiting and dynamic policy, enabling network managers to deploy Secure
Networks solutions, including; Acceptable Use Policy, Secure Application
Provisioning, Secure Guest Access, Dynamic Intrusion Response and Single
Sign-On.
