Effective immediately, Symantec is retiring the Public Sector Partner Program. Partners are no longer required to provide a Government and/or Academic ID number when requesting quotes and placing orders with their Symantec Distributor. Key benefits to you include:
- Reduced administrative burden
- Ability to immediately provide quotes and accept orders for Government & Academic Licensing Program SKUs
- Elimination of temporary authorization requests
Although the Public Sector Partner Program is being discontinued, Partners are still required to confirm the end user's eligibility as defined below prior to submitting orders to distribution. Failure to adhere to customer eligibility requirements will result in sanctions including, but not limited to, termination from the Symantec Partner Program. Additionally, in cases where Symantec determines a Partner is not adhering to the eligibility requirements, we will place them on a "Do Not Sell" list that will be provided to distribution on a monthly basis. The "Do Not Sell" list defines Partners who are no longer eligible to purchase via the Government and/or Academic Licensing Program(s).
